Camp MCS – Primary Program

Camp MCS is a playful, non-academic summer experience designed for curious and creative learners. Each week brings a new theme—everything from dinosaurs and ocean art to cooking adventures, tie-dye, and splashy water play! Our eight weeks of camp are filled with hands-on activities that encourage exploration, imagination, and lots of summer fun.

When multiple camps of the same theme are offered, children will be placed with a teacher they are familiar with and/or peers from their school-year classroom whenever possible. Peer dynamics may also be taken into consideration when making student placements to ensure a positive camp experience for all children.

Children enrolled in our Spanish Immersion program during the school year will have priority placement in Spanish Immersion camps.

*Primary students moving up to Elementary (Orange, Green, or Aqua) in the fall should attend our Elementary summer program.

Week 1 (June 16 - 18) Camp closed on 6/15 for teacher prep and closed on 6/19 in observance of Juneteenth

Splash! Water Play with Kacy or Courtney (2 Camps)

‍

Get ready to cool off and have fun at Splash! Water Play Camp! Campers will explore water through engaging, hands-on activities that encourage sensory play, movement, and joyful discovery. From sprinklers and splash stations to creative water experiments, this camp is all about staying cool while embracing the fun of summer.

Ocean Art Camp with Jen C.
‍Ocean Art Camp invites children to explore creativity inspired by the sea! Campers will experiment with a variety of art materials and techniques while creating ocean-themed projects that celebrate color, texture, and imagination. From watercolor painting to tinfoil octopus art and playful fish mobiles, each day offers hands-on opportunities for self-expression and artistic discovery.

Ignite your child’s creativity at Art Camp! Young artists will explore vibrant colors, textures, and a variety of art mediums in a fun, hands-on environment. With guided activities and plenty of room for self-expression, campers will experiment, create, and discover the joy of making their very own masterpieces.

Camping Adventure Week - Spanish Immersion Camp with Linda

Let’s explore! Children will learn Spanish while discovering the wonders of the great outdoors. Campers will set up pretend tents, go on nature-themed scavenger hunts, sing campfire songs, and create forest-inspired art. A fun-filled adventure—without ever leaving the classroom!

¡A explorar! Los niños aprenderán español mientras descubren las maravillas de la naturaleza. Montaremos tiendas de campaña de juego, realizaremos búsquedas del tesoro inspiradas en la naturaleza, cantaremos canciones de fogata y crearemos arte inspirado en el bosque. ¡Una aventura llena de diversión sin salir del salón!

Cooking Adventures with Courtney

Cooking Adventures invites children to explore the science and joy of cooking through hands-on, daily snack preparation shared with the class. Campers will practice basic kitchen skills while measuring, mixing, and creating, all while building confidence and independence. This fun, experiential camp weaves together practical life skills, early math concepts, and plenty of delicious discoveries.

Tie Dye Camp with Kacy

Get ready for a colorful adventure! Campers will explore fun tie-dye techniques, experiment with bold colors, and design their own vibrant creations. With plenty of hands-on creativity and room for self-expression, this camp promises a bright, joyful, and memorable summer experience.

Semana de Diversión en la Playa con Linda

Beach Fun Week - Spanish Immersion Camp with Linda

Bring the beach to camp! Campers will explore Spanish through ocean animal activities, sand and water play, and sunny summer crafts. They’ll discover coastal habitats, practice seashell counting, and move to tropical rhythms—all in a Spanish-speaking environment. A fun, hands-on summer adventure without leaving the classroom!

¡La playa llega al campamento! Los campistas aprenderán español con actividades de animales marinos, juego con arena y agua, y manualidades veraniegas. Exploraremos los hábitats costeros, contaremos conchitas y disfrutaremos ritmos tropicales, todo en un ambiente de habla española. ¡Una divertida aventura de verano sin salir del salón!

Through hands-on play and interactive challenges, campers will build problem-solving skills, practice teamwork, and strengthen friendships—all while having a whole lot of fun.

Outer Space Explorers Week - Spanish Immersion Camp with Linda

3…2…1… blast off! Little astronauts will explore Spanish while learning about planets, stars, rockets, and galaxies. Campers will experiment with “gravity,” design space gear, and create cosmic art—all while discovering new Spanish words inspired by the universe.

¡3…2…1… despegamos! Nuestros pequeños astronautas aprenderán español mientras exploran planetas, estrellas, cohetes y galaxias. Experimentaremos con la “gravedad”, diseñaremos equipo espacial y crearemos arte cósmico, todo mientras descubrimos nuevas palabras del universo.

Week 5 (July 13-17)

The Great Outdoors: Camping with Courtney

Bring the great outdoors into the classroom! Campers will explore nature through hands-on activities such as pretend campfires, tent building, and nature scavenger hunts. Storytime under the “stars,” animal-themed songs, and simple camping crafts make learning playful and engaging while encouraging creativity and teamwork. This camp nurtures curiosity about nature, problem-solving skills, and a growing love for outdoor exploration—all in a fun, imaginative setting.

Community Helpers Week - Spanish Immersion Camp with Linda

Let’s meet our everyday heroes! Campers will learn how community helpers—such as firefighters, doctors, builders, and teachers—make a difference in our world. Through role-play, vocabulary games, and hands-on activities, children will practice Spanish while discovering how they can help too.

¡Conozcamos a nuestros héroes de la comunidad! Los niños aprenderán cómo los ayudantes de la comunidad, como bomberos, doctores, constructores y maestros, marcan la diferencia. A través de juegos de roles, actividades prácticas y vocabulario, los campistas practicarán español mientras descubren cómo ellos también pueden ayudar.

Critter Quest with Roma

Critter Quest is a hands-on adventure where little explorers discover a new group of friendly animals each day—from forest creatures and ocean buddies to backyard bugs, farm friends, and safari animals. Through crafts, games, sensory play, and imaginative activities, campers will spark curiosity and joy for the natural world. Join us for a week filled with discovery, creativity, and creature-filled fun!

Treasure Camp with Alanis

Set off on an unforgettable adventure at Treasure Camp, where primary students become young explorers on a quest for hidden gems and secret clues! Each day brings new challenges, hands-on activities, and imaginative missions that spark curiosity and teamwork. With maps to follow, puzzles to solve, and treasures to discover, campers will enjoy a week filled with creativity, laughter, and discovery.

Blast off into imagination and discovery at Space Explorers Camp! Young astronauts will explore planets, rockets, and far-off galaxies through hands-on activities, creative projects, and playful exploration. Each day brings new opportunities to build, create, and play while fueling curiosity about the wonders of space.

Under the Sea with Mari

Explore an imaginative underwater world filled with creativity, discovery, and ocean-themed fun! Throughout the week, campers will enjoy art projects, building activities, sensory play, and outdoor experiences inspired by sea life and underwater habitats. The week will wrap up with a fun-filled water play day, making this a playful and memorable summer adventure.
