Summer is a great time to relax a bit, have fun as a family, enjoy some new experiences and READ!

Ages 18 months -5 years
Goleta Valley Public Library Summer Reading Program -- Oceans of Possibilities
- Participate in-person by logging the books you read throughout the summer to earn prizes. There are also free events and activities throughout the summer months!
Santa Barbara Public Library System Summer Reading Program -- Stories Unfold
- Participate virtually or in-person by logging the books you read throughout the summer to earn prizes.
1,000 Books Before Kindergarten
- If you read one book a day to your child, they will reach 1,000 books by the time they are three years old! Reading daily benefits your child in numerous ways -- language development, school readiness, and much more. The Goleta Valley Library participates in this program and provides reading logs and stamps for you and your child to keep track of at home.
